On December 11, 2013, the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) announced the publication of the 2013 Compendium on Disability Statistics, a web-based tool that pools statistics from various federal agencies.
According to the AAPD, the disparity in employment for people with disabilities compared to those without disabilities remains dramatic. Among the statistics reported in the Compendium: only 32.7 percent of people with disabilities are employed, versus 73.6 percent of people without disabilities.
