My Blind Spot is proud to announce our partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to enhance the usability and accessibility of the department’s website (http://wdfw.wa.gov/) for people of all abilities, most notably for people who are blind, visually impaired and print disabled. Through this collaboration My Blind Spot continues to work on our mission to advance equal access and promote understanding, respect, and opportunity for people who are blind, visually impaired and print disabled.

This joint undertaking with WDFW will allow My Blind Spot to continue to take an approach to virtual access that educates and informs all of society, not just people who are blind, visually impaired or print disabled. By ensuring that the website complies with national and international mandates and best practices for website development, WDFW will focus on individuals and their abilities rather than focus on the antiquated myths and misperceptions around the definition of being disabled. Working together with the WDFW, My Blind Spot continues to work dedicatedly to bridge the digital divide that blocks access to careers, education, recreation, civic involvement, and independence for people of all abilities. This significant and meaningful collaboration will open doors for people who are disabled living in Washington State.

My Blind Spot is dedicated to bridging the digital divide and opening doors to governmental agencies, local municipalities, schools, and community based organizations as mandated by law, yet seldom realized in practice.

At My Blind Spot we believe access to the right tools promotes ability and restores infinite possibilities!
