The Rubin Museum has announced the 2012 schedule for their Verbal Description and Touch tours. Verbal Description and Touch tours are specially designed to engage visitors who are blind or partially sighted with a collection of Himalayan art by incorporating touch, sound, smell and verbal descriptions.

Trained guides combine touch objects, such as sculpture, art materials, woodblocks, and ritual implements with the sounds and smells of the Himalayas, including bells, music and incense to create a unique sensory experience.

The Rubin Museum is also excited to announce that tours are completely FREE! Museum admission has now been waived for tour participants.

Tours are offered on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm
